Before the "Palace"

There was the Neche Publice Hall aka The Old Red Hall.

Pictured is a 1916 Neche Public Hall postcard. A poster displayed in the front window for a silent movie "The Faded Flower" starring Marguerite Snow and Rose Coghlan.

Built in 1900, the hall served the community for many purposes such as a theatre, a sports arena, and for dances. The floor of the hall would tilt for theatre duties and be rotated back to horizontal position for dances and basketball games.
