Bathgate man injured in I-29 accident
Three people were injured on Tuesday when a semitrailer rear-ended a farm truck on Interstate 29 south of Pembina, causing the truck to veer off the road, flip and land on its top.
The semi, which was driven by a New Brunswick man, was traveling south when it hit the farm truck carrying grain. The driver of the farm truck was 75 year old Nick Zaharia from Bathgate, and his passenger, an unidentified 14 year old boy from St. Vincent.
All three were injured and transported to the Cavalier Hospital. The two farm truck victims then were transported to Grand Forks.
The accident remains under investigation.
